When I was about 10 years old I saw a documentary on famous fashion photographers that made a huge impression on me!
I recall a particular segment where a model stood on the rooftop of a New York City skyscraper wearing a silver beaded gown with a chiffon cape. She gets her final makeup touches before she gets in place for shooting. The wind blows and lifts the chiffon trailing 10 feet behind her. The photographer captured that moment and shouts, "we got it!" That was the moment I knew exactly what I wanted to do: makeup was my art, my creative outlet, my passion.
After many years of studying, observing, working and practicing my craft I find myself right where I want to be: owner of my own studio specializing in makeup and lash extensions in the heart of New York City.
In a typical week I may find myself doing lashes for my regular clientele or doing makeup on set, at a special corporate event or for a bride on her most special day. This last week I did all three. Pictured are makeup and hair for both male and female fitness models as well a beautiful bride. At the bride's request, I created a smokey, serene eye and a nude lip while for the fitness shoot, the photographer requested a natural radiance for both models. On both occasions I used my favorite makeup, Nars, Dior, Chanel, Trish McIvoy, Bobbi Brown and MAC.
